A grant award from the Department for International Development (DFID) has just been awarded to Crawshaw to help further develop our partnership with GAV School in the town of Kangra in North India.  Students in form 8SR have been working with Mrs Rai and Mr Smyth over the past 18 months to establish the partnership.  During this time students from both schools have been involved in exchanging information about themselves and their schools, initially through the exchange of PowerPoint presentations and written work, and more recently through a video project which enabled the students to perform a tour of the school and to put questions to each other.  The grant that has been awarded by the DFID will enable a reciprocal visit by teachers from each school to enable further development of the project work on the theme of diversity within our community.  Crawshaw is hoping to host two teachers from GAV School during the next school year.
