Welcome to Crawshaw School

Exam Results

Once again it's time for celebration at Crawshaw School as students have far exceeded their targets, achieving another record year for GCSE results.  80% of students (target 75%) achieved 5 or more GCSEs above a C grade with 62% (target 59% including English and Maths in that number.  All students will leave with at least one GCSE equivalent qualification.

This year's results exceed those achieved last year - a year in which the school received national recognition for significant achievement.  Students, parents, staff and governors were elated with another year of record breaking results which further cement Crawshaw School's reputation as a high achieving school.

This success follows another year of outstanding performance at A level with over 20% of students achieving success at either A or A*.  The number of students scoring grades at A*-B was 43%, whilst 98% achieved an overall pass.  We are particularly thrilled that 5 of our students achieved the new A* grade in one or more subjects.  A similar pattern of success is seen with the AS results, with 24% of students achieving success at grades A-B. Once again, these results reflect the commitment and hard work of students, parents, staff and governors over the past two years.  Congratulations to all involved!

UCAS advice for parents

As the summer result days approach, we wanted to remind you that UCAS have a section to support parents of students going into higher education.  See www.ucas.com/parents for more details.  Not only can parents sign up for quarterly e-newsletters to receive timely information and advice, as well as download a PDF copy of the Parent Guide, but ythere is also information about finance, offers and how students can make an informed decision for their higher education future.  We hope you find this resource useful.
