Inclusion Chartermark Revalidation

Crawshaw's Inclusive Work Recognised by Education Leeds

We are delighted to announce the revalidation of our Inclusion Chartermark by Education Leeds. Four years after being initially awarded the Chartermark, a team from Education Leeds spent a day in school, looking at the progress we have made and speaking to our students and staff. They were very impressed by what they saw and on the 10th of July, Mr Jackson, Mrs Hogben, Michael Smith and Daniel Ratcliffe attended an Awards Ceremony at the Civic Hall in Leeds where they were presented with our new plaque.

This is wonderful recognition of the hard work by all concerned, in and out of school, and of the fabulous atmosphere of inclusion for which Crawshaw is rightfully known.

During the week beginning 3rd March students from Crawshaw will attempt a sponsored climb

During the week beginning 3rd March students from Crawshaw will attempt a sponsored climb of Everest. The money is being raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care and our target is £<span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"">2000.

This will involve students being sponsored to climb on the sports hall climbing wall, every PE lesson for a week. We aim to climb 2000m a day and reach the summit by break time on Friday. Students will work in teams of 6 for an hour at a time and aim for 400m each hour, Anyone who wishes to be involved should contact Miss Nicholson at School. We are particularly interested in any qualified climbers who can help supervise or in any form of sponsorship or support.
