Governors
Crawshaw enjoys a close and effective relationship with its Governing Body. There are 20 Governors in total from a range of backgrounds with a variety of skills and strengths. Ofsted judged the Governors to be good with outstanding features, noting that the Governing Body "has a detailed and impressive understanding of school issues and is working imaginatively in a number of areas to support and challenge the school."
The Governors meet each half term as a whole, as well as the half termly meetings of its' various subcommittees which include Teaching & Learning, Finance & Facilities and Personnel, Pay & Review. The Subcommittes feed back regularly to full Governing Body meetings. In addition, each department in the school has a link governor who visits the department on a regular basis. Governors also sit on interview panels whenever possible to aid recruitment processes.
We have included some information in the following pages that we hope will give you a better understanding of who the Governors are, what their role is and how to contact them.
