Welcome to the Crawshaw School website. We have recently re-launched the website following a variety of changes that have take place in school over the past couple of years. Notably, the school has had a part rebuild and refurbishment project through the Building Schools for the Future programme, as well as acquiring Trust Status which has enabled us to establish formal partnerships with the Leeds United Foundation, Barnardo’s and Leeds Trinity University College. Joanna Ruse B.A M.Ed, HeadteacherThese improvements have provided the backdrop to an interesting period at Crawshaw, which over the last four years has seen the school develop in terms of our students’ achievements and the school’s performance overall. We are proud of our examination results, which have been outstanding over the last four years; this year an average of over 90% of subjects out-performed the national average at GCSE. In November 2010 the school was visited by Ofsted, who graded us as good. This is another achievement that we are incredibly proud of and one that signifies the next stage in our quest to be an outstanding school. Crawshaw is a school where students can come to learn in a safe and welcoming environment, where every child is seen as an individual with huge potential. Our rapid success is due to: a relentless focus on offering lessons that engage all learners, effective care & guidance and working in close collaboration with parents and governors. We want our students to become life-long learners and good citizens as well as achieving academic success.
