Exam Results

We are proud of our students' academic achievements.  Since 2009, GCSE results have continued to out-perform the  national standard with an average of over 90% of subjects achieving at or above this level in 2011.  This trend of high achievement continues at Key Stage 5 where pathways are available to suit students of all abilities including both traditional and vocational curriculum offers.  This enables Post 16 students to consistently meet or exceed their subject target grades at Post 16 and has resulted in  subject specific and whole school recognition by the   Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and the Top 100 Schools Directory.  As ever, the school remains committed to raising standards and is grateful for the continued support of parents, staff, Governors and Trustees. More information is available in our prospectus.

BBC News visit Crawshaw

GCSE Results Day was made even more exciting with the presence in school of BBC News reporter, Chris Buckler.  Staff and students from Crawshaw featured live on the BBC Breakfast programme, as part of their coverage of the results day.  They later used footage recorded at the school in reports that went out on the BBC News Channel throughout the day, as well as the BBC 1 o'clock and 6 o'clock news programmes.  We are immensely proud of how our students and staff conducted and presented themselves and have provided a link here to one of the BBC News web pages where you can see one of the reports.
